November 2022 Newsletter: Thanks & Giving

During this season of THANKS & GIVING, our hearts are filled with gratitude for you! We are mindful of the many ways you have supported MLI this year through your faithful and practical gifts. Your generosity is producing a deep and lasting impact across the MLI ministries.

This year, MLI celebrated 21 years of spiritual growth, healing, and support!

The Church in Mission ministries continued active outreach to congregations and their leaders, and provided spiritual and material support for those in need. For example, MLI’s church partners and friends provided thousands of Ukrainian refugees with food, housing, transportation, and special care for the elderly and for mothers and their children.

Emerging from the isolation imposed by the Covid pandemic, the children in the Children at Risk ministries of Deborah House, Back to School, Harmony, Aspirations, and Mitspa House have been able to return to in-person school with teachers who care for them. Some are enjoying mentoring relationships that equip them for life after incarceration, and some are forging new paths of healing through counseling, hard work, and the grace
of Christ in their lives.

The Alpinis Leadership Center has been completed and has launched its soft opening for youth camps. It has also established the Paltinis Leadership Institute, a new initiative purposed to equip God’s people who are called to make a difference in the marketplace. We thank God for the leaders who are now providing the vision to fulfill the mission.

We are eager to continue our partnership with you in furthering the Kingdom work the Lord has prepared for us! In C.S. Lewis’ Narnia series, Aslan, the Lion calls the children to go further up and further in. We at MI and MLI hear our Lord’s call to trust Him and follow Him on the borders of Ukraine, in the small house churches around Romania, in the village of Recas, in the juvenile detention center, in the Aspirations apartment, and in our two Deborah House Centers. Your support encourages and empowers us to journey forward.

As you evaluate year-end giving opportunities, please prayerfully consider a gift to accelerate the MLI mission as we support, protect, and promote Romanian children and youth to equip them with the truth, power, and promise of Jesus Christ.

Matching Donation

Missio International will match donations to Missio Link International up to $10,000 to increase the impact of your gift. Your generosity will allow us to focus on several key areas as 2022 comes to a close and as we prepare for the opportunities and challenges of 2023:

• Rescue, nurture, and launch the children served by the Children at Risk ministries by supporting their physical and spiritual needs. Did you know that Deborah House is the only licensed home for trafficked and abused girls in Romania? Your donations help provide the support of specialized counselors and therapists as well as the day-to-day operations of Deborah House and staff.

• Pray for ideas and solutions to extend the reach and impact of the Alpinis Leadership Center in its mission to instill Christian values and character, especially among young professionals throughout Romania and across Eastern Europe.

• Invigorate Church in Mission efforts by equipping local churches through partnership and leadership development as well as the resources to support those in need. For example, because of the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, many vulnerable people will continue to cross the border to find safety and solace in Christ, and we want to be able to provide their material needs and security.

Your reach is immense, and your impact is enormous. Your prayers and contributions enable us to go “further up and further in” together! We pray for the Lord’s great blessings for you and your family as you engage in the beauty of this holiday season. May you always experience the Truth, Grace, and Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ!
