Church in Mission Prayer Journey

More of Your…

Because prayer is a core value of Missio International, we would like to extend the opportunity here for you to join us in corporate prayer.  Whereas in the previous LINK we framed our prayers of thanksgiving and petition on behalf of Missio Link International’s (MLI) ministry among Children & Youth at Risk, we invite you now–according to the prayer guide provided–to lift up the various initiatives taking place through MLI’s Church in Mission.

Day 1 – More of Your glory

It has been 20 years since we at MLI began our work in Romania, we want to see God and for Him to be glorified in all we do. We pray for Christ-centered vision that empowers the hearts and the minds of everyone on the MLI team, staff and volunteers.

Exodus 33:18 “Then Moses said: “Now show me your glory”.

Day 2 – More of Your heart for mission

We pray for every pastor and missionary who is a part of the Church Partnering program.

We pray for churches coming together in unity, for mission and witness in remote areas in Romania; we pray for unity and a bold message of the Gospel, for human, spiritual and financial resources. Most of the small towns in Romania have decreased in numbers due to the emigration of youth to cities and EU.

John 17:20-21 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Day 3 – More of Your love and impact

We thank God for His work through local churches in Romania, and we pray that churches will grow a vision for serving in their local communities, for reaching out to others showing God’s love and care.

1 John 4:16 “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in them.”

Day 4 – More of Your presence and transformation

We pray for spiritual formation, that through our programs of Leadership Development, camps at Alpinis, and retreats people will be transformed into the likeness of Christ.

Philippians 3:10  “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death”

Day 5 – More of Your wisdom and will

Matthew 6:10  “…your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

We are grateful for God’s revelation, and we pray for more of His wisdom in mission and service; in discerning His will and new ways of sharing the Gospel and serving others amidst the changes and transitions brought by the pandemic.

Proverbs 2:6 “For the Lord gives wisdom: from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

Day 6 – More of Your providence and resources

We are so grateful for the generosity of God’s people which enabled us to develop the Alpinis Expansion Project; in dependence on Him we pray for resources to complete this beautiful project as a tool to reach and equip youth with the Gospel in Romania.

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Jesus Christ.”

Day 7 – More of your healing and mercy

We live in a broken world. The pandemic has affected all spheres of life across the world, our friends in the USA are also affected by social and political unrest, and wild fires in the west. We come together in prayer asking for God’s people to be an instrument and a voice for healing and reconciliation.

Mark 6:34 “When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.”
